Carrmaker Vauxhall released letters and statement to owners of Zafira B model cars to take their car to nearest Vauxhall centers to due flame risks. The recall would be the company's second instance in a span of 1 year.

According to Independent, more than 234, 000 Vauxhall Zafira B are now being recalled for the second time due to issues regarding the engine problem and can lead to flames. The company added that they are taking "preventive action" to the reason why they are recalling these units as soon as possible. They indicated that the suspect for these engine failure would be the improper repairs made to the car's blower motor resistor for fires.

Vauxhall also told the media that their intentions is to improve the overall robustness of the system than just focusing on replacing the resistor and fuse that the company already started since last year's recall. The company's spokesman said in a statement "While the current action achieves the objective of returning vehicles to their original condition, after extensive investigations we have decided to go further and improve the overall robustness of the system."

Meanwhile, BBC reported that Vauxhall made a letter to 234, 938 Zafira B owners last December to address the problem. The recall is also attaining to make their vehicles have new wax fuse resistor, new blower motor, and moulding at the base of the windscreen. Ofcourse, these recalls are free of charge for the owners and the company is expected to release another batch of letters to the customers this coming August. Their target is to give more information regarding the problem and to accommodate the drivers who had not taken their cars to Vauxhall's respective dealerships.

From reports received by London Fire Brigade this year, there are atleast 14 Vauxhall Zafira B car fires that are resolved by their firefighters. However, an estimate of 120 fires involving Zafira B has been called to their attention.
