Aston Martin Competes In European Le Mans Series, Wins Opening Race of 2016

Aston Martin got gears, the gold and glory upon joining the prestigious European Le Mans Series and even won the opening race for this year 2016. Aston Martin's V8 Vantage GTEs have fared well during the competition leading to a win and victory.

According to published article by Paddock Talk, "The Beechdean AMR entry, driven by Andrew Howard (GB), Alex Macdowall (GB) and Aston Martin Racing works driver Darren Turner (GB) started the race from seventh but quickly progressed to the front of the GTE pack after avoiding a series of incidents at the beginning of the race. The result brings Beechdean AMR its first win of the 2016 season."

The tricky challenges and trail hurdles have left others decapitated during the race but the Aston Martin and its V8 Vantage GTEs have performed extremely well. Even one of the drivers applauded his co-driver and rendered setinements. Alex did a great job with his starting position. He managed to avoid all of the carnage on the opening lap and did a sterling job to handover the car in the lead. After jumping in, I had a reasonably trouble free stint with just a sprinkling of rain before handing over to Andrew who did a great job towards the end of the race. Overall, it was a very pleasing result and a great way for Beechdean to start the championship, said Turner.

More report from Motorsport, the resilience and brute force that the Aston Martin's V8 Vantage GTEs have shown is noteworthy. Despite the unfriendly terrain and weather, three Aston Martin Racing challengers bagged fame and glory as they braved the soaking wet track to finish the first qualifying session of the season.

The win not only embodied Aston Martin's ideals as well as the strength and magnitude of its V8 Vantage GTEs but it also set the course to triumph and dominance as the cars marked history by winning the European Le Mans Series Opening Race of 2016.
