ICYMI: This Week's Biggest Auto Stories

This week in autos, Honda President Takanobu Ito announced that he's stepping down, people wouldn't shut up about the Apple car and Geneva previews started coming thick and fast.

To get the iCar out of the way: Yes, Apple wants to take over your ride, but so far the Silicon Valley entity has only established itself as a maker of in-vehicle software. Apple's lack of comment on its reported "Titan" project hasn't stopped conjecture.

Bad news for anyone who wanted a Bugatti Veyron--the limited-production model is now officially sold out. The last example of the 450 supercars will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

AutoWorldNews took a drive in the dreamy new Volvo XC90, which featured a luxurious interior, strong styling and a new infotainment system, and also reviewed the 2015 Toyota Camry.

Speaking of styling, Nissan's Fred Diaz denied when asked by Automotive News that the redesigned 2016 Titan was intended to look like a Ford F-150.

"I did make some suggestions from a design standpoint that I think made the truck stronger and bolder and gave it a huskier, heavier look than it originally had," Diaz said.

What would a week be without recalls? Jaguar Land Rover issued a recall for around 62,000 vehicles with faulty air bags (that at least don't explode); Mercedes-Benz called for repairs on a hefty list of models that total 147,224 cars; and GM launched a safety campaign for 67,000 Cadillac ATS sedans with overly sensitive sunroof controls.

Fiat Chrysler announced two recalls, one of which is for 26,000 Chrysler 200s that have issues shifting into park.

In related news, the death count in GM vehicles reached 57 people.

Consumers driving in the 46 million cars on American roads that haven't been repaired might want to consider a trip to the dealership.

Looking ahead to the Geneva Motor Show next month, car fans should watch for the 105 Longnose coming from A. Kahn Design as well as the Aston Martin Vulcan supercar.

Hyundai plans to unveil the 2016 Tucson, while plenty of big auto names have teased snazzy concepts that will be revealed at the show.
