The 2016 Toyota Tacoma Debuts Live in Detroit (PHOTOS)

This is the 2016 Toyota Tacoma. First impressions: It's a solid entry into the midsize pickup market.

A four-cylinder engine will once again be standard, and a V-6 engine will again be optional. For the first time, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions will be offered—placing the Tacomona closer to its newer competition.

When the next Tacoma launches, it will do so with support from Toyota's new Texas headquarters. Stay tuned for a full roundup of all the pickup trucks that debuted in Detroit.
