Santa Clarita Diet is the newest installment in the well-worn history of comedy-horror. From the dark-hearted 1994 movie Serial Mom to the more recent pastel-pink TV series called The Scream Queens, Hollywood has long cottoned on to the seductive pull off something threatening, even murderous, wrapped up in a gorgeous bow and packaged for humor.

The movie tells the story of a suburban woman complete with husband, kid, and boxy car, who becomes undead and acquired an overwhelming hunger for human flesh. She murdered people and eats them. It's great fun.

How Drew Barrymore's character becoming a zombie on Santa Clarita Diet is unknown, but realtor Sheila Hammond is undead nonetheless. By gathering all the details provided by the first season of the Netflix show, which showed on Feb. 3, everyone might not know to avoid becoming a zombie.

The movie's version of zombiehood starts with vomiting. It's not just an average amount of vomit, but a lot of vomit. A vomit that's enough to fill a room, drip from the ceilings and cause the puker. But in this case, Drew Barrymore, cough up an entire organ.

As Sheila's condition continues, the most significant change is in her energy. Even though her heart no longer beats, her libido skyrockets.

Zombies are known for eating human brains, but Sheila's version of being undead is more of an all-encompassing cannibalism. She doesn't differentiate between the brains and other body parts. She first samples the fingers and gets even creative by making the human parts into shakes, which she can carry in a portable cup, claiming it to be her new diet.

Meanwhile, ten episodes were added as part of season 2, and with a lot of comedy shows on Netflix, the episode count is then upped. Given how successful the movie is, don't be surprised if the show's episode goes up to 13 or even more.

If the show will do the same as the Fuller House which released episodes when they're good and ready, it is possible that a new season would be released every 6-9 months which would make the Santa Clarita Diet season 2 release in October or November 2017. But the best bet at this point would be that it runs on a yearly basis meaning fans would get new episodes in January/February 2018.
