"For Honor" players get to taste a good size of what's in store before the full game launches since Ubisoft has confirmed an open beta will run from February 9 to 12. Meanwhile, the full online action sword-fighting game will go live fully on February 14.
An announcement of the "For Honor" open beta comes at the heels of the recently concluded closed beta that ran from January 26 to 29. Combat battle data from the test period for select players were collected by Ubisoft for the open beta.

The "For Honor" open beta will pick up from the "War of the Factions" in which the Vikings are in the lead with 24 territories, followed by the Knights with 21, and bringing up the rear are the Samurai with 15. As the title implies, "War of the Factions" is a continuous 3-way match between the 3 factions that comprise "For Honor": Knights, Samurai, and Vikings.
By playing the "For Honor" open beta, players will get the chance of earning rewards which can be transferred once the full game goes live, reports Digital Trends. Ubisoft certainly knows how to reward players who try out their games prior to launch.
"For Honor" open beta contains four modes: Elimination, Brawl, Duel, and Dominion. There will be 9 heroes to choose from, whereas the full game will contain 12 heroes and 5 modes, according to GameSpot. Dominion, Brawl and Duel modes were playable during the closed beta. Elimination, on the other hand, is a best-of-five series of four-on-four battles with no respawns.
In other "For Honor" news, Ubisoft recently announced that they have recruited a number of celebrities who will participate in the "For Honor" "War of the Factions" competition. On Feb.7, they will be playing alongside "top Twitch streamers," beginning 2pm PT. Among these A-listers include Alfie Allen and Jason Mamoa of "The Game of Thrones," Lauren Cohan of "The Walking Dead," and the MMA star Demetrious Johnson. For you to play "For Honor" open beta, a great chunk of hard drive space needs to be ready as the closed beta was a massive 27GB file size. The open beta will be available for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
