The 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is the very heart of the Porsche family of sports cars. It takes the best features of the other members of the Porsche lineup and blends it into the complete sports car that every car sportsman would like to drive.

Motor Trend reports that the 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is indeed most complete as it comes in the coupe, cabriolet and Targa-styled body with engines that range from 370 hp to 580 hp.  The seven-speed stick or PDK transmission and two or four-wheel drive are available choices in this car.

When prices are considered the 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is right at the center of the Porsche lineup. Its $120,000 base price is more expensive by $15,000 than the Carrera S Coupe while it is $12,000 lower than the GT3 series.

The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, with its 450 hp engine, has a more powerful engine than the Carrera S with its 420 hp engine but lesser in power when compared to the 1975 GT3 series, which has the 475 hp engine. The 3.0-liter engine of the 911 Carrera GTS performs much better because of redesigned turbos that deliver higher boosts from its larger turbines.

When it comes to performance on the road, it is more similar to the Carrera S than the GT3 simply because the 911 Carrera GTS represents the central marketing model of the elegant Porsche sports car while the GT3 is more like the strong and powerful race car. Its elegance in style is impacting on the designs of the other Porsche cars like the Panamera and Macan.

The 911 Carrera GTS has a wider body and improves on the exterior patterns of the 911 Carrera 4 while its interiors are designed with the best features that only the Porsche sports line-up can offer.  The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS has indeed all of the fine features of the complete Porsche sports car.
