iPhone Discount: Sam's Club Flyer Shows One-Day Holiday Sale

Sam's Club will be selling Apple's iPhone 6 for $99 with a two-year contract on Nov. 15, as part of a one-day holiday sales event.

The news was reported first by GottaDeal on Sunday, who obtained a leaked Sam's Club flyer with details on the limited time promotion.

The flyer shows that the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB iPhone 6 models will go on sale for $99, $199 and $299, respectively.

Every Sam's Club store will have just "40 to 50 units" available for purchase however, and some may not have the 64GB and 128GB versions. It is unclear if that number reflects per-model availability or combined stock, according to GottaDeal.

The sale pricing is only honored in-store and requires activation or renewal of a two-year contract.

Sam's Club is also cutting $100 off Apple's 16GB first-generation iPad Air, a deal available both in-store and online.

The one-day "Holiday Savings Celebration" kicks off at 7 a.m. local time on Saturday, Nov. 15, as well as online through Sam Club's holiday website.

The retailer is one of the first holiday season events to feature price cuts for some of Apple's latest iOS devices. More companies are expected to follow suit, however, in the lead up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Last year reseller put iPad, iPhones and Macs on sale to increase business for the holiday season.

Apple forecast a strong holiday quarter last week after a better-than-expected 16 percent jump in iPhone sales, and the strongest growth in Mac computer shipments "in years," helping the company surpass Wall Street expectations.

The company projected stronger-than-expected revenue of $63.5 billion to $66.5 billion in December quarter, when new iPhones and iPads with rival devices from Microsoft and Amazon.com for consumers' holidays outlays.

The new iPhones had already surpassed the previous-generation model in terms of volume, according to Reuters.
