Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat: World's 'Most Powerful' Sedan Starts at $64,990

The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is priced at $64,990, which includes a $995 destination fee and a $1,700 gas guzzler tax, coming in at $4,000 more than the 2015 Challenger Hellcat.

The company has also revealed pricing for the rest of the lineup.

The base 2015 Dodge Charger SE starts at $28,990, a rise of $1,000 from last year, Motor Trend reported. In the standard trim, the SE features a 5-inch touchscreen, leather-wrapped steering wheel and 7-inch color information display.

Next in the lineup, the SXT runs on the same 292-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine that powers the SE. Starting at $30,990, it additionally features an 8.4-inch touchscreen, 18-inch aluminum wheels and LED foglamps.

The Charger R/T starts at $33,990 and includes a rear spoiler, 20-inch wheels and an upgraded 5.7-liter V-8 with 370 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque. If car fans are willing to shell out as much as $40,990, they can add the Scat Pack option, which comprises "red four-piston Brembo brakes, 20x9-inch wheels, Dodge Performance Pages customizable engine and transmission settings and a 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 good for 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet" of torque, according to Motor Trend

Boasting 707 horsepower, the Charger SRT Hellcat is said to be the most powerful sedan in production.

Expected in the first quarter of 2015, the new Dodge Charger will run on a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine generating 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, according to the automaker.

The V-8 engine, which is matched with an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission , can take the Hellcat from zero to 100 mph in less than 13 seconds and reaches a top speed of 204 mph.

Dodge calls the four-door model the fastest and most powerful muscle car in the country and the quickest sedan in the world.
