2014 Neiman Marcus Christmas Book Features 2015 Maserati Ghibli S Q4

For many people the arrival of the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book is the official start of the holiday shopping season. This year's edition carries on the Neiman Marcus tradition of offering a selection of items across a broad range of categories.

The new Christmas Book's featured car is the 100th Anniversary Neiman Marcus Limited-Edition 2015 Maserati Ghibli S Q4.

The vehicle goes on sale Oct. 22, and deliveries are scheduled to take place before the end of 2014, according to a Neiman press release.

The special Maserati Ghibli has a $95,000 price tag.

"We couldn't be more excited about this year's collection of fantasy gifts and feel they are very representative of the unique and high-quality holiday offerings our dedicated customers have come to know and love from Neiman Marcus," said Jim Gold President & Chief Merchandising Officer of Neiman Marcus, according to the release. "Each year our goal is to exceed the expectations of our customers and this year certainly will not disappoint."

The 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine, made in collaboration with Ferrari, "catapults" occupants from 0 to 60 in just 4.7 seconds.

Q4 all-wheel drive means drivers will be in full control of the vehicle no matter what the driving conditions.

Other features include: a unique gray metallic exterior paint color, Gloss Black door handles and special badging.

Just 100 of the exclusive vehicles will be offered to the public, according to the release.

The special vehicle joins other fantasy items offered by Neiman Marcus, including his-and-hers Quadskis and a Mardi Gras trip for six couples valued at $125,000.

Neiman Marcus is known for showcasing fantasy vehicles in its holiday catalog.

Other offerings in the past have included the 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante, 2012 Ferrari FF and 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible.

First published in 1926 as a 16-page booklet, the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book was intended as a Christmas card to the store's best customers.
