Apple Store App Updated For iPhone 6, 6 Plus (DOWNLOAD)

The Apple Store was finally updated Wednesday when Apple added support for its newest devices, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Apple Store version 3.0.1 is just a minor update to the previous version, but it comes with a number of graphical improvements that Phone 6 and 6 Plus owners are going to appreciate.

The new Apple Store update is now compatible with the larger 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Retina HD displays found in Apple's new iPhone 6 lineup.

Before the update, the app relied on iOS 8's feature to upsize fonts and other graphical assets and "other graphical assets not native to the higher resolution screens," according to AppleInsider. This shouldn't be an issue anymore.

Apple Store 3.0.1. also contains an unnamed iOS compatibility update.

When Apple officially released iOS 8 last month, the operating system came with updates for a number of first-party apps, like iWork suite, Messages, and Safari, along with others.

An update for Apple Store was noticeably left out however.

The latest Apple Store app is available as a free download from the iOS App Store.

Apple sold more than 10 million iPhones during its debut weekend, despite not being able to sell the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in China at the time.

Multiple news outlets in mainland China are reporting that reservations for Apple's new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models across retailers and the nation's three mobile carriers have reached two million.
