President Obama Offers Pregnant Chelsea Clinton His Motorcade

President Barack Obama offered pregnant Chelsea Clinton his motorcade on Tuesday, just in case she needed to speed through New York City traffic to give birth.

Hours after unleashing the latest US Middle East war, in Syria, Obama was in a cheerful mood at annual philanthropy fest hosted by a Bill and Hilary Clinton, according to AFP.

Obama poked fun at NY drivers who dread the traffic nightmares brought on by the annual United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

"I was just discussing with President Clinton -- if Chelsea begins delivery while I am speaking, she has my motorcade and will be able to navigate traffic," Obama said at Clinton Global Initiative meeting, according to AFP.

"Actually, it's pretty smooth for me during the week. I don't know what the problem is -- everybody hypes the traffic. I haven't noticed."

That's because when Obama commutes through NY, the streets are cleared for his two armored limousines and cavalcade of Secret Service vehicles, minibuses for officials, an ambulance and heavily-armed SWAT teams.

Of course this makes things difficult for those stuck in Manhattan's traffic, who also have to deal with other world leaders visiting town for the event.

The Clinton's have not confirmed a due date for their first grandchild. The former president did tell CNN that he hoped it would happen by Oct. 1 though.

Obama complimented Hillary, who served as his secretary of state during his first term and could be preparing for another run at the White House in 2016.

"She has the post administration glow right now -- she looks much more rested," said Obama.

Hillary will be 69 when the next president is inaugurated in Jan. 2017. She lost the Democratic nomination to Obama in 2008.
