2015 Sierra Carbon Editions Add Strength, Sophistication

The 2015 GMC Sierra is pretty impressive, but General Motors' new 2015 Sierra Carbon Edition, which will be available at dealers this fall, might be even better.

"The beauty of the new Sierra lies in its strength and sophistication," said Stuart Pierce, Sierra marketing manager. "But for customers wanting to stand out and make a strong statement, the Sierra Carbon Edition models are the answer."

GM's striking Sierra Carbon 22 Edition, which is offered on both Sierra SLE double-and crew cab vehicles, comes with unique graphics that echo its name.

Two carbon fiber appearance graphics showcase strong forms in the Sierra's hood, whereas another graphic dresses up the tailgate. Other exterior touches include: body-colored door handles, black painted grille, and mirror caps.

The Carbon 22 Edition also comes with 22-inch black alloy wheels, four-inch black tubular side assist steps, Universal Home Remote, a 110-volt power outlet, fog lamps, remote keyless start, and dual-zone climate controls.

The 2015 Sierra Carbon Edition is based on the 2015 Sierra 1500 pickup and offered in three different versions to give customers the chance to select the truck that fits their lifestyle.

The Carbon 20 Edition, which is only offered as a Sierra SLE double cab, comes with the same carbon fiber appearance accents as the Carbon Edition and incorporates the same painted grille. It also rides on 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels.

GM's latest Sierra Carbon Edition builds off the standard Sierra 1500 double cab vehicle, and interested customers can expect many of the same cues used on the Carbon 22 and 20 Edition models, according to the automaker.

The Carbon Edition also comes with the same black painted grille, carbon fiber graphics, and body-colored trim with other Carbon Edition variants.

It also comes equipped with additional standard content like a 110-volt power outlet and light-emitting diode, or LED, cargo box lighting, and remote keyless entry.

All 2015 Sierra Carbon Editions come available with two- or four-wheel drive.

A 4.3-liter EcoTec3 V-6 engine is also standard, which delivers 285 horsepower, 305 lb-ft of torque, and EPA highway ratings up to 24 mpg, according to GM.

A 355-horsepower, 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V-8 is also available to interested buyers.

The 2015 Sierra Carbon Edition is available for a suggested retail price of $33,075, while pricing for the 20 Edition and Carbon 22 Edition starts at $38,275 and $42,270, respectively.

Dealers are currently accepting orders for double-cab 2015 Sierra Carbon Edition vehicles.

Crew cab vehicles will be available for order starting in early October.
