2015 Dodge Grand Caravan Earns Four-Star Safety Rating From NHTSA

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration confirmed this weekend that the 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan minivan earned a four-star overall safety rating.

Five stars is the highest rating a vehicle can receive from the NHTSA.

During testing, the new Grand Caravan received five stars in the side crash test, four stars in the front crash test, and four stars in the rollover crash test.

Daytime running lights have been added as standard equipment to all 2015 Grand Caravan models.

Standard safety equipment found on the new Grand Caravan includes seven airbags, including a driver-side knee blocker airbag, daytime running lights, traction control, electronic stability control, and antilock brakes.

The automaker's optional Safety Sphere package adds features like rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring system, ParkSense rear park-assist system, rear cross-path detection system and rain-sensitive wipers.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 2014 Grand Caravan an overall "Good" rating, but hasn't rated the 2015 Grand Caravan as of press time.

Dodge's new Grand Caravan competes for sales with vehicles like the Honda Odyssey, Kia Sedona, Nissan Quest and Toyota Sienna, among others.

The Grand Caravan is available for purchase now at your local Dodge dealership.
