2015 Ford Fiesta Has Lower Price, New Exterior Color

Ford has announced pricing for the 2015 Ford Fiesta lineup, which features price cuts from last year.

The new Fiesta S sedan starts at $14,690, which includes $825 in shipping fees and reflects a $235 price decrease over its predecessor, Edmunds.com reported.

The 2015 Fiesta S hatchback is listed at $15,190 with shipping, which marks a $235 price cut compared with the 2014 version. For the new Ford Fiesta ST hatchback, pricing begins at $21,740 with shipping. The 2015 ST hatchback is priced at $485 less than the 2014 model.

A carryover after the Ford Fiesta was majorly updated for 2014, the new model features minimal changes that include a new exterior paint: Magnetic Metallic.

The Fiesta competes with the Chevrolet Sonic, Fiat 500, Hyundai Accent and Kia Rio.

The 2015 Ford Fiesta S, SE and Titanium models are available with a lower door stripe Graphic package, while the Fiesta SE and SE Appearance package features optional fabric seat trim and 16-inch all-season tires that have 8-spoke alloy wheels.

The new Fiesta recently earned four out of five possible stars for safety following federal crash tests.

The Ford Fiesta has electronic stability control and antilock brakes as well as seven airbags, including a driver knee airbag. The four-star safety rating applies to the sedan and hatchback versions of the four-door car.

The Fiesta has front-wheel drive and runs on a five-speed manual transmission, according to Edmunds. The subcompact's 1.6-liter engine produces 120 horsepower and 112 pound-feet of torque.

It is available in three exterior paints: Ingot Silver Metallic, Oxford White and Tuxedo Black Metallic.
