Next time you're driving to work and think you have a bad commute, just remember one thing: at least you don't have to dodge rockets.

A Donestsk resident who goes by the name "Vova Prach" posted a video called "my second birthday" on the Russian social media site Vkontakte on Aug. 5, showing the world how he barely missed being hit by some kind of airborne explosion just a few yards in front of his modified VZ-2101.

As seen in the video, the driver barely missed being hit by the rocket, and was able to make it out alive from his Cold-War era vehicle.

The dashcam video was taken in the Petrovsky district of western Donetsk.

Chunks of asphalt totaled the car, but that is a small price to pay considering the driver is still alive.

The Petrovsky district recently experienced aggressive fighting as Ukrainian government forces encircled the headquarters of forces backed by Russia, as reported by The Associated Press.

One resident was killed as a shell landed on a house somewhere in the district.

More than 285,000 people have fled their homes in the Eastern Ukraine, according to the United Nations. The U.N. refugee agency said more than 117,000 have left for other places inside Ukraine, while 168,000 people have crossed into Russia.

If this video is any indication of what is going on, it's hard to blame them.
