Design Your Own 2015 Acura TLX

Car enthusiasts can now create their own 2015 Acura TLX model with the brand's online configurator.

Acura is looking to make its sedans more appealing to buyers since the models haven't been selling as well as the automaker's RDX and MDX SUVs, Automobile Magazine reported. With the online tool, potential buyers can select model, paint color, exterior accessories and interior accessories.

The 2015 TLX 2.4 has the newly optional Technology package, which starts at $35,920 and includes "lane-keep assist, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, premium audio, navigation and a leather-trimmed interior," according to Automobile Magazine.

"We're turning our attention and our efforts to the sedan side of our business," Mike Accavitti, senior vice president and general manager of Acura Division, recently told reporters, as quoted by Forbes.

The new sedan is priced at $31,890 in base trim, which includes $895 in destination fees.

For the fully optioned TLX SH-AWD, pricing will start at $42,345, including shipping. The TLX SH-AWD is an all-wheel-drive model with the Technology package. For the TLX SH-AWD with the Advance package, buyers will pay at least $45,505 with shipping.

The TLX lineup's standard features include Jewel Eye LED headlights, Smart Entry and pushbutton ignition, a rearview camera and Hill Start Assist.

The new TLX competes with the 2014-'15 BMW 5 Series, Infiniti Q50 and Lincoln MKZ, according to the auto website Edmunds.com.
