Honda Launches Five-Day 'Summer Cheerance' Event to Provide Cheer, Savings

Honda has launched five-days of continuous "Summer Cheerance" by providing funny memes, videos, and visual jokes on the automaker's social media accounts, as well as hosting events to support the automaker's Summer Clearance Sales Event.

"Videos will capture unsuspecting participants experiencing acts of cheer and will then be shared on Honda's social channels during the 'Summer Cheerance' effort," the automaker said in a statement. "Live cheer events include randomly placed piñatas filled with goodies at various locations."

Honda's campaign features six new TV spots when spun off real social media posts from people who aren't happy with their current vehicles.

Deals for a number of Honda vehicles are available for customers, like the 2014 Honda CR-V crossover and the 2014 Honda Civic sedan.

The 2014 Honda CR-V is available to buyers for $209 for 36 months with a $1,999 due at signing.

The automaker's 2014 Honda Civic sedan is available for $159 a month for 36 months with $1,999 due at signing, according to the release.

Honda will also donate $100,000 to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation as part of the campaign.

"Summer Cheerance" runs until August 8.

Make sure to get out to your local Honda dealer to get a good deal and to help a good cause.
