Mike Trout's Brand New Corvette Stingray is One Sweet Ride (PHOTOS)

After winning the 2014 Ted Williams MLB All-Star Game Most Valuable Player award this week, Mike Trout was given the choice between the 2014 North American Car and Truck of the Year for his efforts in the game.

It didn't take Trout long to decide however, as he picked a new Corvette Stingray during the MVP award ceremony, which was presented by Chevrolet, in just a couple of seconds.

"Tonight, we honor the achievements of Mike Trout, the 2014 All-Star Game Most Valuable Player, while we showcase our own MVPs, the Corvette Stingray and Chevrolet Silverado," said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing in a statement. "We hope many of our fellow baseball fans join us to help raise funds for a worthy cause."

Trout, 22, is the second youngest player to be named All-Star Game MVP behind Ken Griffey Jr. when he won the award in 1992. Griffey was just a few days younger.

Chevy has been the Official Vehicle of MLB since 2005.

The automaker also announced that it would provide a second Stingray with a unique autographed hood for auction at ChevyBaseball.com.

The Stingray features both an autographed display hood signed by 2014 All-Star players and coaches and a factory original hood for driving.

All proceeds will go to Chevy and MLB charities.

Biding on the Corvette Stingray opened right after the MVP ceremony, and will continue until Aug. 1.

Chevrolet will also provide MLB and the Major League Baseball Players Association with a commemorative Corvette Stingray hood, signed by 2014 All-Star players and coaches, for auction with proceeds to benefit MLB Charities and the Players Trust.

The 501 charitable organization was created and is run by active Major Leaguers.
