2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed: 2015 Ford Focus ST Debuts

Ford introduced its revised 2015 Ford Focus ST hatchback at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, show casing improvements like a lower stance and an updated suspension.

The new 2015 Focus ST will reach dealerships sometime in early 2015, according to Jason Demchak, a Ford spokesman.

The Focus ST was designed to be more aggressive than the 2014 model, with a wider, lower stance, thinner headlights, and a sculpted hood.

The 2015 Focus ST comes equipped with a 252-horsepower 2.0-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission, according to the automaker.

Ford designed the cabin inside the Focus ST to include a new center console with more storage space a new media bin with USB smart charging port.

Other changes include an updated front door storage with cupholders and a new flat-bottom steering wheel, according to the automaker.

Interested customers can expect a Magnetic Metallic exterior color. Focus ST's signature Tangerine Scream exterior color is available on the ST2 model.

Ford's new sports body kit comes with body-colored side skirts and a rear roof spoiler.

The Focus ST will compete with vehicles like the 2015 Subaru WRX and the 2015 Volkswagen GTI.

Pricing will be revealed later on this summer.

The base 2014 Ford Focus ST is sold for $24,450, including a shipping fee of $850.
