Jaguar Land Rover USA has teased its new high-performance Land Rover Range Rover Sport in a brand new video.

The 15-second video was uploaded to YouTube this week.

"We've always had a breadth of capability on and off road, but now we're adding more capability to the mix," said the company in a statement, according to Jaguar release. "A lot more."

The YouTube video points out that the SUV is "coming soon" though no release date has been confirmed yet.

The teaser comes just a couple of days after Jaguar Land Rover unveiled a new Special Operations division that will produce limited-edition, high-specification vehicles.

"One could speculate a high-performance Range Rover Sport is in development," said Stuart Schorr, a Jaguar Land Rover spokesman, according to Edmunds.

One of the first releases of that division is expected to be a special option of the Land Rover Range Rover.

 "For customers, it means more choices," Schorr said at the time, according to Edmunds.

The high-performance Range Rover Sport will compete with vehicles like the BMW X5, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, Mercedes-Benz M-Class and Porsche Cayenne, among other vehicles.
