Tracy Morgan in Intensive Care After NJ Turnpike Crash (VIDEO)

Actor/comedian Tracy Morgan was seriously injured in a road accident involving six or more vehicles on the New Jersey Turnpike early Saturday morning, according to Reuters.

Morgan was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in critical condition, NBC10 reported.

A hospital spokeswoman referred queries to Morgan's publicist, who didn't respond to a request for comment.

Morgan, 45, is known for his roles on "Saturday Night Live" and "30 Rock."

Sgt. Gregory Williams of the State Police said Morgan was one of several passengers traveling in a limo bus that overturned when several vehicles crashed into each other, according to The New York Times.

At least one person was killed in the accident, which occurred about 1 a.m. on the northbound side of the turnpike near Cranbury Township, the state police said.

The person has been identified yet.

Besides the limo bus, a total of two tractor-trailers, a sport utility vehicle and two cars were involved in the crash, Sergeant Williams said, according to The New York Times.

Morgan joined SNL in 1996 and was on the sketch-comedy NBC show for seven years before joining "30 Rock," which was created by his former SNL co-star Tina Fey.
