Toyota is recalling over 200 2014 Toyota Highlander crossovers in the U.S. because a seating issue, according to the

Approximately 231 vehicles are affected by the recall. Toyota said the second-row right-hand seat could come out of the track.

"The affected vehicles may not have been manufactured properly, causing the seat not to fully lock into the inboard seat track in the forward first, second and third adjusting positions," said NHTSA in its summary. "If the seat does not fully lock into the inboard seat track, this could increase the risk of the seat coming out of the track and injuring the occupant in the event of a crash."

 The issue was discovered during "routine manufacturing inspection," according to Toyota

"No crashes, injuries, or fatalities with the Highlander recall," said Cindy Knight, a Toyota spokeswoman, according to Edmunds.

All affected vehicles were manufactured from April 23, 2014 through April 29, 2014.

Toyota told safety regulators that no other Toyota or Lexus models use the same seat-track assembly as the affected Highlanders.

Toyota dealers are being instructed to inspect and, if necessary, replace the second-row right-hand seat.

All repairs will be made free of charge.

The recall will begin sometime later this month, according to the automaker.
