Samsung's New Galaxy Tab S Line to Include Fingerprint Sensors?

Samsung is reportedly preparing to introduce a pair of "Galaxy Tab S" tablets soon, according to tech blog SamMobile.

The blog said that new Android-powered tablets could be Samsung's first tablets to incorporate fingerprint scanners on the home button.

A fingerprint scanner could be used to authenticate multiple tablet users and their profile accounts, making it easier for families and couples to share one device.

"All fingerprint sensor related features from the Galaxy S5 will be present on the tablet, which include: Fingerprint Unlock, PayPal Payments, Private Folder and Samsung Apps login," the blog post reads, regarding the feature.

As if that wasn't enough, two of the tablets could also boast 2,560x1,440-pixel AMOLED displays and other high-end hardware.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S might come with an 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch screen sizes, with Wi-Fi only and 4G LTE options for both, according to SamMobile.

Both devices are expected to come in gray and white color options, and might feature the same type of texture found on the Galaxy S5 smartphone.

Other rumored specs include:

- Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa processors

- an 8-megapixel and 2.1-megapixel camera combo

- 3GB of RAM

- Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac)

- Wi-Fi Direct

- Bluetooth 4.0 LE

- Micro-USB 2.0.

Model numbers and benchmarks are already appearing online for the Galaxy Tab S devices, so we may not have to wait very long for Samsung to formally unveil its plans.
