2014 Toyota Camry Hybrid Available for $27,140

Toyota has listed its new 2014 Toyota Camry Hybrid for a base price of $27,140, including an $810 shipping fee, according to Edmunds.

The price is a $190 price increase when compared to the 2013 model.

Toyota confirmed the vehicle is a carryover model earlier this month, saying that the Camry has been redesigned for the 2015 model year.

"Customers today love the durability, quality and value that the Camry represents, but they are looking for a little more style, comfort and performance, and this 2015 Camry has all of the above," said Bob Carter, senior vice president of automotive operations of Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc, according to HybridCars.com. "This is the new Camry, and it's coming from the new Toyota."

The new 2015 Toyota Camry debuted at the 2014 New York Auto Show.

Toyota sold 408,484 Camry's in the U.S. last year, making it the best-selling car, and second best overall vehicle in the U.S. for 2013.

The Ford F-150 pickup was the most popular vehicle in the country last year, according to a report by Reuters.

The hybrid model returns 43 mpg in city driving and 39 mpg on the highway, according to released EPA estimates.

Toyota expects the Camry Hybrid to compete with similar vehicles like the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid, Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and Ford Fusion Hybrid, along with many others.
