Earn $100 by Test-Driving a Cadillac

If you're already car shopping, you might as well make some money while you're at it. Cadillac is holding a promotion until the end of the month to give $100 to qualified consumers just for test-driving one of its vehicles, Edmunds.com reported.

To be eligible, shoppers have to be 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance and own a General Motors vehicle from 2004 or later.

In the national promotion, Cadillac is offering the driver $100 in a prepaid Visa gift card after a 30-minute test drive in the vehicle.

If consumers decide to buy a Cadillac after the ride, the company will credit them $1,500 toward the new car, an incentive that applies for shoppers who don't already own or lease a GM vehicle.

The 2015 Cadillac Escalade began shipping to dealers last week, while Cadillac plans to launch the new 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe this summer, according to Edmunds. Both models have some unique new features.

The new 2015 Cadillac Escalade has LED lighting, purportedly inspired by Manhattan skyscrapers and "fine-cut crystal," according to GM.

"Iconic buildings, like the Hearst Tower in New York City, were a big inspiration due to the interplay of glass and metal," Martin Davis, Cadillac exterior lighting design manager, said in a statement.

The Cadillac ATS Coupe, which launched at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, will be the first Cadillac vehicle equipped with new OnStar 4G LTE, including a built-in Wi-Fi hot spot.
