Apple's iOS 7.1.1 Update Could be Released Soon

An update for Apple's mobile operating system could be released soon, according to a report by 9to5mac.com.

Apple's next operating system, expected to be called iOS 7.1.1, will likely allow users to remove iCloud, restore an iPhone handset without having to enter specific Apple ID credentials, and disable Find My iPhone, according to AppAdvice.com.

The upgrade will fix a number of different bugs as well, though Apple has not confirmed which ones they're working on fixing yet.

"Numerous visits to 9to5Mac from areas surrounding Apple's campus on devices running iOS 7.1.1 have appeared in our analytics," the site said in a recent article. "The increase in views likely indicates that the bug fix update will come over-the-air to iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches in the near future."

Jailbreak fans are encouraged to ignore iOS 7.1.1 once it is released until a new jailbreak download has been released.

Apple's iOS 7.1 was released back in March with a number of minor updates, like a new calendar view and CarPlay support.

Testing for iOS 8 at Apple has also "increased," according to 9to5Mac.com.

Apple's iOS 8 likely won't be introduced until at least this summer and won't become available until Apple's next iPhone is released.

The next iPhone device is expected to be called the iPhone 6. The device will likely be sold in two different display size options, both of which are expected to easily top the display sizes for the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

Make sure to check back once more news has been released regarding iOS 7.1.1.
