Google Sells Out of White Glass Model During One Day Sale

Google has confirmed it sold out of its white Glass model on April 15, as part of a one-day only offering this week.

The internet-search browser company made its Glass devices available to general public for the first time this week, though it has yet to say when it will be selling the connected eyewear again.

Sales numbers have also not been reported yet, and there were no reports of the Google Glass sales site crashing or customers being turned away, according to a report by CNN.

Google still had Charcoal, Tangerine, Shale (grey), and Sky (blue) options available as of late Tuesday.

"Wow, what a morning! We're happy to see so many new faces (and frames) in the Explorer Program," Google said in a post, announcing the unavailability of the Cotton option.

The $1,500 device was only available for purchase online.

On April 14, Google announced the most recent round of software updates for Glass, which will debut later this week.

The company wants to make Google Glass available to the mass consumer market by the end of 2014.

Before this week, just 10,000 units had been made available to Google Explorers, according to CNN.

Google is attempting to trademark the word "Glass" so that it can eventually stopping calling the device "Google Glass."

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is holding up the bid however. Google has already trademarked the term "Google Glass."
