2014 New York Auto Show Preview: 2015 Subaru Outback Confirmed

Subaru of America confirmed its redesigned 2015 Subaru Outback vehicle will debut at the New York Auto Show on April 17, according to a company release.

Pricing has not been revealed for the vehicle yet.

Outback sales in the U.S. have doubled over the last nine years, and the current model is the best-selling Outback to date, according to the release.

The Outback, along with the 2015 Subaru Legacy, will be among the vehicles offered by Subaru to offer an improved version of the automaker's EyeSight driver-assistance feature.

The feature helps drivers avoid crashes, according to the automaker.

The system comes with color cameras with a wider and longer detection range, which helps driver spot obstacles and brake-lights.

Subaru's new Outback will compete with similar vehicles like the 2014 Ford Escape and the Toyota Highlander.

The 2015 Outback will hit dealerships this summer, according to Subaru.

Make sure to check back later this month once the new Outback debuts at the 2014 New York Auto Show.
