Jaguar XK Production to End This Year

Jaguar Land Rover has confirmed that production for its Jaguar XK coupe and convertible will end later on this year, according to Edmunds.

Jaguar will instead focus on new vehicles like the 2015 Jaguar F-Type coupe, and the Jaguar XE compact sport sedan.

The 2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe will be available for $65,895, including an $895 shipping fee. Jaguar confirmed the F-Type will hit dealerships this spring.

The 2014 Jaguar XK coupe has been priced for $85,395, including shipping, according to Jaguar. It will be sold sometime in 2016.

"2015 will be the last model year for the Jaguar XK," said Wayne Kung, a Jaguar Land Rover spokesman, to Edmunds this week. "There is no immediate replacement."

The Jaguar XK targets competes with similar models like the 2014 BMW 6 Series and the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
