2014 Chrysler 200 Earns Four-Star Safety Rating From NHTSA

Fiat Chrysler Automotive has confirmed that the 2014 Chrysler 200 midsize sedan recently earned a four-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The 2014 Chrysler 200 received four stars in rollover, front, and side impact crash tests.

Five stars is the highest rating a vehicle can receive for a specific crash test.

Safety features found on the Chrysler 200 includes antilock brakes, electronic stability control, six airbags, and traction control, according to the automaker.

The vehicles competes with similar models like the Honda Accord, and the Hyundai Sonata.

The 2014 Chrysler 200 was also named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

The midsize sedan earned "good" scores in all IIHS crash tests, along with an "acceptable" score in the small overlap front crash test.

That small overlap front crash was designed to see how a vehicle will react when its front corner collides with another vehicle or an object like a tree.

The redesigned 2015 Chrysler 200 will hit dealerships this spring.
