2014 Dodge Grand Caravan Earns Four-Star Safety Rating

Chrysler has confirmed that the 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan minivan recently earned a four-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Grand Caravan received five stars in the side crash test, four stars in the rollover crash test, and four stars in the front crash test.

Five stars is the highest rating a vehicle can receive in each of the tests conducted by the NHTSA.

The Dodge Grand Caravan competes in the same segment as similar vehicles like the Chrysler Town & Country, Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna.

The Dodge Grand Caravan was also named a 2013 IIHS Top Safety Pick last year.

The 2014 Grand Caravan received "good" ratings in each crash test conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, including the tough moderate overlap front crash test, according to the automaker.

Safety features the automaker equipped the Grand Caravan with includes electronic stability control and seven standard airbags, like a driver-side knee blocker airbag.

Optional safety features includes rear cross-path detection and blind spot monitoring, according to the automaker.
