Cadillac Offering Free Charging Station With 2014 Cadillac ELR

Cadillac is offering a new promotion where customers of the 2014 Cadillac ELR will get a new 240-volt home charging station for free.

Customers will save approximately $1,200 to $3,500 as a result of the new deal.

The cost of the charging station and installation will vary, according to CadillacCharging.com.

"Professional installation of the fastest home-charging unit is a natural way to mark the introduction of the ELR to the luxury market," said Uwe Ellinghaus, Global Cadillac chief marketing officer, in a statement, according to the automaker.

Cadillac has not said when the deal will expire, but those who want to take advantage of the offer should act fast.

ELR buyers will also get their own ELR Concierge Representative, which is a person who will be able to provide information on home charging, maintenance, and other issues.

Installation alone usually costs $1,200 to $1,500. The installation price is usually influenced by "by factors such as the age of your home, the location of your charging station, utility involvement, permitting costs, etc," according to CadillacCharging.com.

The automaker is offering the vehicle on a 39-month lease, for those who qualify, at $699 a month, and $5,999 due a signing.
