Audi to ‘Revolutionize’ Dealership Experience Through Digital Tools

Audi said recently it plans to "revolutionize" the dealership experience by introducing new digital tools created to improve the sales experience, help operations run smoother, and provide information.

The Audi Sales Assist app was introduced by a group of Audi dealers just last year and now it's available at all Audi dealerships around the U.S.

The automaker feels that the app will become the "the dealer's primary sales tool."

The Apple iPad app works by using videos, animations, and pictures to help buyers with vehicle information.

Audi confirmed other features that the app is capable of providing customers and personnel with as well like being able to compare features with other Audi models and similar vehicles based on the buyer's needs.

People will also be able to see first-hand the dealer's inventory lot.

Audi said the app falls under its "Progressive Retail Experience" initiative, which it describes as "a series of digital tools that will bring ease and efficiency to the dealership experience and improve customer loyalty."

The initiative also promises to reduce the amount of time a customer needs to spend at a dealership as well.

Dealers are also expanding their use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology as well, which is already in use a select dealerships around the U.S.
