Irvington Shooting: 3 Men Killed, 2 Hurt at North NJ Bar

At least three men were killed during a shooting on Christmas morning during a fight at a North New Jersey strip club according to the Associated Press.

The incident started when a man supposedly tried to enter the bar with a gun but was stopped by the club's bouncer, authorities confirmed.

"It appears the gunman was trying to enter the bar armed and was stopped by the bouncer," said Chief Anthony Ambrose of the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, according to ABC News.

Two other men were injured during the exchange that took place at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Dec. 25 at Slick's Go Go Bar in Irvington, N.J. The strip club is just 15 miles away from New York City, according to AP.

The three dead individuals included the club's son Pierre Clervoyant, 34, and a club employee, Woodly Daniel, 32. The third person has been identified as Mushir Cureton, 27, of Newark, according to The Star Ledger.

"He was trying to be the peacemaker," said Stephanie Clervoyant, 25, Pierre's sister.

The first wounded person was identified as a male, 27, from Irvington, and the second was a 34-year-old from East Orange, NJ. Details have not been released regarding the status of the wounded men.

Approximately 100 people were in the club at the time of the shooting, according to a witness who spoke with ABC News.

A reward of up to $10,000 has been offered for information leading to the shooter's arrest and conviction, according to AP.
