iPhone 6 Release Date: Analyst Predicts June Release Date for Pricey Phone

Apple's next smartphone, believed to be the iPhone 6, will be released sometime this summer, according to Susquehanna International Group Analyst Chris Caso.

Caso claims the iPhone 6 will be released in June 2014.

Experts previously predicted that the iPhone 6 would be released in March 2014 to battle Samsung's next smartphone, but that no longer seems to be the case.

Caso also expects the next iPhone to be a little more expensive than its predecessor as well. The iPhone 6 will come with new technologies to help it gain an advantage over other smartphones, meaning it'll cost more to produce the phones.

The iPhone 6 could be sold for over $199 depending on what Apple is able to equip the phone with.

Apple will still develop devices for lower prices like the iPhone 5C and iPad Minis, but Apple fans can longer expect affordable, brand new phones according to Caso.

The iPhone 6 is expected to have a larger, sturdier screen with some assistance from Sapphire glass, which was used to over the iPhone 5S' TouchID fingerprint sensor, according IBTimes.com.

A 4.7-inch 1280x720 device, and a 5.7-inch 1920x1080 device have each been predicted by Hsieh.

Other features the iPhone 6 is rumored to come equipped with includes a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, 64-bit A7 process, a 128 GB option, and a 12 MP camera.

Apple has yet to confirm or deny when its next iPhone will be released, nor has it released a base price yet.
