I-90 Blizzard Hits South Dakota, Wyoming, Other Locations, At Least 3 Dead (VIDEO)

A blizzard has dropped approximately 33 inches of snow in certain locations across South Dakota. The blizzard was still producing snow as of press time, according to the National Weather Service.

At least three people were killed in northwest Nebraska in an accident on US 20 as a result of the storm. A tornado also formed nearby which helped spread the snow even more.

Wind gusts have reached up to 68 mph outside Rapid City, which saw "just" eight inches of snow.

Before the blizzard, the storm caused record rainfall in parts of the Northwest and even caused a small tornado to hit south Seattle.

"Our car is like an igloo," said local Julie Lee, according to *blank. "I'm glad we got everything out."

Parts of I-25 and US Routes 14, 16, and 20 in central and eastern Wyoming were closed due to the blizzard.

Drivers in the aforementioned locations have been warned to stay off the road until the storm dies down. If you have to travel, forecasters urge drivers to carry survival kits and to stay inside your vehicle if you get stranded.

"I've lived in Wyoming my whole life and I've never seen it like this this early." Patricia Whitman, a shift manager at the Flying J truck stop in Gillette, Wyoming, said according to the Inquisitr. "I know several of the businesses nearby are completely closed because they can't even get workers into work, it's pretty nasty."
