N.Y. Mall Shooting: Gunman Described as Disgruntled Ex-Employee, 1 Dead, 1 in Critical Condition (VIDEO)

A New York mall and school were both placed on lockdown on Sept. 25 after two people were shot inside a store near the mall, according to police.

Police are still looking for the gunman as they believe he is "armed and dangerous." The shooter left the scene of the crime in a white SUV according to the Associated Press.

Authorities are looking for a man named Sang Ho Kim, as they've listed him as a person of interest in the incident.

The shooting was not "random" or "isolated" according to police.

"This is terrifying," said shopper Nancy Petrillo to Newsday. "After what happened in Kenya, everyone is already on edge."

One of the victims was killed and the other is in critical condition at a local hospital, according to The New York Post.

The gunman has been described as an Asian male, around 6'2, and wearing a red shirt and suit jacket. He's believed to be a "disgruntled ex-vendor" employee of Savenergy Inc.

"People were running around. It was pretty chaotic. Cops were everywhere and people were running," Jennifer Haber said to Newsday.

Police started escorting people from the mall at around 1 p.m. according to the Associated Press.

Make sure to check back once more information is revealed about the shooting.
