Google has supposedly run out of the 16GB version of the Nexus 4 on Google Play and a source with knowledge has told The Verge that the company won't be getting anymore in.

The internet search browser company will not be bringing back the device in stock in any storage size, though a few remain on sale through Google Play as of press time in other countries.

The last of the available Nexus 4 8GB were sold during a recent clearance price reduction. The cost was cut by $100 according to the Los Angeles Times.

Once the remaining devices are sold, Google could be turning their attention to a new device: the Nexus 5.

A number of different videos of the Nexus 5 have been uploaded to YouTube and the Federal Communications Commission "approved and posted" images of a device called D820, that many feel could be the Nexus 5, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Another hint was released by Google accidently that the new Nexus might be coming soon when it released a video announcing the next version of Android, version 4.4 KitKat, on YouTube. Many commenters and media outlets pointed out an employee holding a device in the video that looked like it could be the Nexus 5.

The video was quickly removed by Google but the damage had already been done.

The Nexus 5 will most likely be built by LG, which made the Nexus 4, though nothing has been confirmed officially by Google.

Specs rumored for the next device includes a 5-inch screen and an improved camera to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S4.
