2013 Frankfurt Auto Show Update: 2014 Nissan Rogue Set for Sept. Debut

A teaser image of the redesigned 2014 Nissan Rouge was released this week before the compact crossover's official debut in September.

The new model is expected to be equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, similar to the one used for the Nissan Altima sedan.

"The all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue will push the envelope of CUV design starting on September 10," said Nissan in a one sentence statement.

Sales for the Rogue were up 13 percent July compared to the same time last year.

The 2013 Rogue is priced at $21,170, including an $860 destination charge. Nissan spokesman Dan Bedore said that the new vehicle will cost more than that.

The 2013 model competes with vehicles like the Honda CR-V, the Toyota RAV4, and the Hyundai Tucson.

Expect the new model to go on sale before the end of 2013.

The 2014 Rogue would start appearing in showrooms later this year.
