New Hyundai i30 Tourer Specs And Prices Revealed; This Family Hatchback Is Expected To Boost Sales

Details for the next generation Hyundai i30 Tourer have been revealed at the official website of Hyundai Motor U.K. The automaker predicts the new model will boost sales for its timeless design and powerful specs.

The new Hyundai i30 Tourer has been announced to go on sale early next week, the first week of July. The automaker has posted on its official website the specs and prices of the different models of the new i30 Tourer.

The new i30 Tourer is being offered in five trim levels such as the base S, SE, SE Nav, Premium, and the Premium SE models. The S and SE models are being offered with a manual engine only. The other models have automatic and manual, diesel and petrol engine options.

Recommended on-the-road price starts from $22,000 (£16,995) for the base S model with 1.0 T-GDi 120PS petrol engine that is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This engine option can deliver 171.1Nm at 1,500 - 4,000 rpm.

Whereas, the most expensive model, the Premium SE, with 1.6-liter CRDi 110PS Diesel DCT Automatic costs $32,300 (£24,885). This engine option can produce 280 Nm of torque.

The new i30 Tourer comes with the Intelligent Stop and Go (ISG) as a standard feature. This further improves the efficiency of the engine as it automatically cuts out the engine when at a halt, and automatically restarts when the accelerator is pressed.

The automaker also offers optional features like the Hyundai Sense Service Plan, metallic or pearl body paint, black and gray leather seat facings. Buyers can also add the Visibility Pack that includes 17-inch alloy wheels, Dual LED headlights, Dual Zone Climate Control with Auto Defog System.

Hyundai Motor U.K. president and CEO Tony Whitehorn said, "Previous generation i30 Tourer models accounted for just over 10% of total i30 sales; However, our expectations are that new generation i30 Tourer will achieve much closer to a 20% share."

The new generation i30 Tourer has been set to go on sale in the U.K. on July 6. Check out the official website for more detailed specs and prices, which can be found on this link.
