The third-gen BMW X3 is made more potent and powerful! This serves as an extension to the X3 lineup. Even better, it is scheduled to be launched in the U.S. later this year.

The third-gen BMW X3 is reported to include a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline 6 Cylinder engine, which is capable of producing 355-horsepower. It is powered by M40i M Performance model and is powered by the same gearbox combination as the recently introduced X4 M40i M Performance. It is all set to compete with other equally able vehicles such as Audi SQ5 and Porsche Macan Turbo.

The third-gen BMW X3 is expected to make its first official appearance at the 2018 Frankfurt Auto Show this coming fall, in September. This is definitely something to look forward to especially to those who have been in full support of BMW, particularly since the X3 came out some seven years ago.

The third-gen X3 or the 2018 model comes entirely re-engineered with the new platform. This translates to the significant increase in dimensions for bigger and more spacious interior. It also has reduced curb weight as compared to the outgoing second-generation X3. This is good, especially that the second-gen has been on the market since 2010. It deserves to rest to give way to an all-new generation of excellent X3.

The third-gen X3 has been spied on quite a number of times as it was being tested in the U.S. There are two prototypes with one showing much less version clad in swirly disguise and the other one concealing its design under the tarp. As its engine is expected to have a more powerful and potent boost, its exterior is expected to not veer away too much from the second-gen.
