The 2019 Hyundai Veloster N is Hyundai's official entry to the hot hatch competition in the U.S. With the crossover SUV being the dominant vehicle selling almost anywhere in the world, the hot hatch type is somehow closely trailing behind. It is gaining more momentum as buyers are becoming younger and funkier.

Velosters are known to be eccentric in a good way. This is one of the reasons why people are drawn into it. It looks sporty and its three-door approach is out-of-this-world but it gave the vehicle an entirely new character and attitude. The 2019 Veloster N amps it up more, making it go against Ford Focus RS and Civic Type R.

The upcoming Veloster N is expected to ride on the same platform as the 2018 Elantra GT. It is reported to see a little bit of growth, as what has happened to the Elantra. The Veloster N is also expected to use adaptive suspension system, which will be seen on the i30 N.

The 2019 Hyundai Veloster N is reported to be powered by a 2.0-liter engine that was used in the RM16 N Concept. From the original concept, its engine is capable of producing 295 PS and is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

From recent sightings, the prototype Veloster N has large alloy wheels, which are wrapped in low-profile tires. It does have huge disc brakes with bright red calipers. It looks every bit interesting even under its heavy camouflage.

The 2019 Veloster N is still expected to have its characteristic one large door on the driver's side and two smaller doors on the other side. This is the reason why the Veloster is a unique hatch, making industry experts and car enthusiast rave in one way or the other.

The i30 N is scheduled to debut at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show. However, the 2019 Hyundai Veloster N may not be part of that auspicious event. It may make its debut until the 2018 Auto Show season, which begins January.
