Mazda 2 Gets A Limited Tech Edition; Only 750 Units With Better Equipment!

A special Mazda 2 Tech Edition has been announced to go on sale next month for a limited time and quantity. The limited edition model comes with better specs for better performance.

The limited Mazda 2 Tech Edition comes with upgraded equipment for a standard price. The special model comes with a 1.5 SE-L Nav similar to the original standard Mazda 2. However, a pair of new 16-inch alloy wheels have been added and buyers can choose from the four premium body paint options.

The Tech Edition SE-L Nav variant retains the regular features like the 7-inch infotainment touchscreen display. The system comes ready with Bluetooth and satellite navigation.

It is powered by a 1.5-liter four cylinder petrol engine that can produce 89 bhp and 62.8 mpg. It can also accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 9.4 seconds with top speed at 113 mph. The new Tech Edition is equipped with the exclusive five-speed manual gearbox.

Furthermore, the limited Mazda 2 comes with rear parking sensors, climate control and privacy glass. It also features automatic headlights and the windscreen wipers that are now automatic.

In addition, the special edition Mazda 2 will introduce the brand's G-Vectoring Control technology. This will further improve the steering and suspension of the supermini for better steering response and more comfortable ride.

With regard to the steering wheel, the limited edition boasts its enhanced steering feel. Mazda has done a little recalibration of the electric steering to achieve better handling.

The interior has also been upgraded with the new seat fabrics and new steering wheel. These latest features will greatly improve sound insulation.

In terms of performance, the body control has been greatly enhanced with the new front anti-roll bar bushing. The automaker has also revised the structure of the front lower suspension arm.

Moreover, the quality of ride has been improved as the Tech Edition now comes with better front and rear damper settings. It also comes with LED front fog lamps, passenger seat height adjustment and auto power-folding mirrors.

The new Mazda 2 Tech Edition comes with a $19,400 (£14,995) price tag. Only 750 units were produced and will hit the showrooms in the U.K. starting on July 1st.
