2017 Renault Megane RS Official Teaser Video & Photo Out Prior To Monaco Grand Prix Mini-Debut

Renault has been teasing the debut of the upcoming 2017 Megane RS. An official video and photo have been released, confirming some details of the new hatch prior to its mini-debut in 2017 Monaco Grand Prix.

Renault has just released an official teaser video for the 2017 Megane RS through its official Twitter account. The video shows how fast the new RS will be. It also features various models of the new hatch.

Moreover, Renault has reportedly released an official spy shot for the 2017 Renault Megane RS. The teaser image reveals new details can be expected from the front fascia.

The new hatch sports a daytime running lights in checker design that can be found below the front bumper. It also has a thick spoiler and a new design for its bumper.

In another allegedly leaked image, the new Megane RS has a unique trapezoidal exhaust integrated into a rear diffuser. The rear also sports a ridged spoiler.

Renault brand design head Stephane Janin shared that the new design of the upcoming Megane RS will be more mature than its competitors. The brand intends the new model to show off its performance with raw pace, and not much focus on the design.

"We try to have a powerful product but rather simple with sensual shapes," Janin said. He also added that what they are planning to do with the new RS is actually "harder than going aggressive."

Meanwhile, Renault has confirmed the new 2017 Megane RS will make its mini-debut in the upcoming 2017 Monaco Grand Prix via its official Twitter account. The race is set on Sunday, May 28 but there will be a Formula 1 practice on Friday, May 26.

The new Megane RS will appear on May 26 at the Formula 1 meeting where F1 driver Nico Hulkenberg will be driving the new hatch. Renault will display a special black and yellow model of the new Megane RS, which also matches the brand's F1 entries. Incidentally, the brand is also celebrating its 40th year of involvement in Formula 1 this year.

However, the mini-debut of the 2017 Renault Megane RS in the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix will not be the full revelation of the new model. The new hatch is expected to hide some details as it is still set to have its full launch at the upcoming 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
