2018 BMW 8 Series Render Recently Made Available; Definitely Something To Wait For

The 2018 BMW 8 Series render has been recently made available. This may not be what BMW has in mind but it eased the excitement for Friday's reveal. It was back in 1999 when about 31,000 units were made. Finally, 18 years later, it will be back again.

The 2018 BMW 8 Series launch date is expected to be next year, staying true to its model year. However, the official reveal is only in few days, Friday to be exact. Since the excitement is just too much to handle, an artist render has been made available. Innovative artist Jan Peisert comes up with his own version based on spy shots and insider leaks.

It might make the Gran Lusso concept as its inspiration, which was shown four years ago at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. To make the claim even plausible, this is also the exact place where the grand reveal is set to take place. The connection is quite evident, not only in its chosen debut venue but also on its silhouette similarity.

From the recent photos, it shows that the 2018 BMW 8 Series may come with BMW's event, which has already become a trademark on its two-door models. The rear side of the car reveals a defined haunch to highlight its width. The rear end and taillight arrangement are particularly impressive.

The artist's render also suggests that it may come in a two-door version of the 7 Series. This can be patterned after the 6 Series taking hints on 5 Series and the 4 Series on the 3 Series. The 2018 BMW 8 Series is reported to come powered by either V-12 or 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8.

The shores of Lake Como is definitely going to be the venue of this auspicious event. It is expected to be as grand as it can be. In the first place, this is BMW. This brand never settles for anything less. The 2018 BMW 8 Series rightfully belongs to the center stage.
