2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE: The First Camaro To Dominate The Road With Aggressive Aerodynamics

The 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE is going on sale this summer with a special model name, 1LE Extreme Track package. The new supercar is the first Camaro expected to dominate the road with its aggressive aerodynamics.

Chevrolet has announced the powerful specs for the upcoming 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE Extreme Track package. So, drool on the exciting features detailed below.

The new ZL1 1LE boasts of its weave Carbon Fiber wing that contributes to the new road car's race car personality by adding up to 300 lbs of downforce. It is also equipped with a satin black hood with carbon fiber air extractor, bigger front splitter and integrated dive planes.

In terms of suspension, the new ZL1 1LE features multimatic DSSV dampers with a front ride height that can be adjusted. It also features an adjustable rear stabilizer bar and adjustable camber plates.

Furthermore, the new ZL1 1LE Extreme Track package runs with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R tires developed exclusively for Camaro. The huge size of the tires, 305s in front and 325s in the rear, enables the new model to pull 1.10g in grip. Apparently, these are the largest tires ever produced for Camaro.

The 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE is coming out with a supercharged powertrain. Similar with its sibling ZL1, it also sports a supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8 rated engine that can deliver 650 hp. However, unlike the standard ZL1, the new model's engine is now mated with a manual transmission with Active Rev Matching. The supercar is also equipped with a dual-mode exhaust system.

With regard to the interiors, the new supercar comes more comfortable with its RECARO performance seats. The flat bottom steering wheel is wrapped in suede, which matches the suede-wrapped shift knob for greater comfort in control too.

In addition, the upcoming ZL1 1LE Extreme Track package comes with available Performance Data Recorder (PDR). This sophisticated driving analysis tool helps the driver in analyzing every aspect of his driving in real-time audio, video and 30 channels of performance data.

Check out the upcoming 2018 Chevrolet ZL1 1LE when it arrives in showrooms this summer. It will come out with a $69,995 price tag for its grandeur performance and aesthetics.
