The 1,700-horsepower Nissan GT-R recently left everyone stunned and it is reported to come with few tricks up its sleeve. The massively modified Nissan GT-R comes in with significant changes enough to produce intense performance and capabilities.
Having a car on the drag strip has been considered an art form. It enables the driver to test the car's capacity, which in turn provides spectators a great show. However, things are taken up a notch higher for the case of this 1,700-horsepower Nissan GT-R. It has gone more than skin deep, delving more into the technical aspects of things.
The GT-R is an all-wheel drive so staging means getting the boost pressure fired up before the yellow light turns to green. Some do have the Bump Box that enables the driver to stage the car behind the timing beams for engine preparation. Well, this is not the case for this GT-R.
This is primarily attributed to how the clutch packs are set up. For this GT-R, it sets up just before the staging beams. One can see as it gets to pack the revs and then moved to the position for the run. After which, the car goes for eight-second runs with a trap speed of 186 mph.
Well, this is definitely some interesting technology that many desire to know more of. Recent developments also surround the rumored upcoming 2018 Nissan GT-R. The reported upcoming GT-R is believed to use the engine from Nissan's 2015 Le Mans Racer.
It is expected to be even more powerful than the Le Mans, which is powered by 3.0-liter V-6 that is capable of producing 550-bhp. The current Nismo GT-R is also powerful producing 600-bhp, which it may also overtake.
Late the last year, the Super GT and Nissan GT-R Nismo GT500 were revealed. It showcased the design of the GT-R Nismo GT500 having few changes, especially in its aerodynamics. The 2017 season of Super GT has 25 percent reduction in its total downforce for the GT500 class.
