2017 Skoda Karoq: Offers A Driving Joy, Excitement, and Charisma

The 2017 Skoda Karoq is a mid-sized SUV that serves as the replacement of Yeti. It's  finally on its way.

As we all know, Yeti is one of Skoda's iconic car ever made that has an unusual look and boxy exterior. The car's design has a bit of resemblance to the Kodiaq than the Yeti but is made even more compact and dynamic.

The Skoda CEO, Bernhard Maier said, "Karoq is a completely newly designed SUV that sets new benchmarks for our brand." Bernhard Maier, the CEO of Skoda. As mentioned earlier, it is a mid-sized SUV, and it is a five-seater vehicle that has a boot space of 51 liters or 1630-liters when the seats are folded downwards.

As to the rear seats, it allows the occupants to remove it and turn it into a minivan which can also increase boot space up to 1,810-liters. The interior also includes an installed touchscreen infotainment system with a high connectivity including top systems like Columbus and Amundsen.

The 2017 Skoda Karoq is said to offer four powertrains when it goes on sale in the UK. Choices will range from two petrol and two Diesel-powered engines. Options for Petrol are 1.0-liter TSI I3 with 114 hp and 175 Nm of torque, and 1.5-liter TSI I4 with 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque. For the Diesel, there will be both 1.6-liter TDI I4 with 115 hp and a torque of 250 Nm and 2.0-liter TDI I4 with two power outputs of 150 and 190 hp and 340 and 400 Nm of torque.

Meanwhile, all drivetrains of the 2017 Skoda Karoq can be paired with a six or seven-speed manual gearbox and DSG except for the range-topping 2.0 TDI that produces 190 horsepower comes with a standard 4x4 drive and 7-speed DSG. As for the price, it is said to start somewhere in ₤18k or $23k.
