HTC's next flagship smartphone known as HTC U 11 has been recently spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The flagship phone is now set to launch on May 16, and Antutu is ready to reveal its specifications.

The Antutu listing indicated that the flagship phone will offer a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset. It will offer 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and will likely arrive with different storage versions. The listing claims that the flagship smartphone will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS with HTC's Sense 9 skin on top.

For the cameras, fans can expect a 16MP sensor at the back and a 12MP front-facing selfie camera. That seems to be the similar camera sensor that is available in the HTC U Ultra that failed to stand out in the photography contest. With LG G6, iPhone 7 Plus, Huawei P10, and Samsung Galaxy S8 on the market today, HTC may need to have a few software upgrades for the camera.

In addition, HTC U 11 is said to come with an HTC BoomSound, HTC Usonic, Res Audio, and fingerprint reader. The retail packaging leak suggests an option for a 6GB RAM version and IP57 water resistance.

Fans can also expect the upcoming flagship smartphone to have an Edge Display feature that enables users to squeeze the sides of the phone to interact with it. For instance, users who are getting a phone call can easily squeeze their phone to answer it.

Furthermore, the flagship phone is expected to have a 3000mAh non-removable battery that has support for Quick Charge 3.0. Regarding connectivity, the device will have a 4G LTE dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS with GLONASS.

However, nothing's been confirmed yet, so take all this information with a pinch of salt. As mentioned above, HTC will be launching the HTC U 11 on May 16, and it could be the company's last chance to leave a positive mark this year.
